We're raising awareness of financial crime and fraud

We're taking part in International Fraud Awareness Week next week to highlight and further educate and protect our members from fraud, financial crime and scams.
International Fraud Awareness Week is an initiative that takes place every November where hundreds of organisations around the world pledge to increase fraud awareness in their workplaces and communities.
Our specialised department of financial crime experts, ensure we can identify and protect ourselves and our customers from potential financial crime.
Financial Crime Manager, Martin Croucher, said: “We take the protection of our customers and our people very seriously and supporting International Fraud Awareness Week is one of a number of initiatives we take part in.
“We will be sharing insights, raising awareness of fraud and how to protect against it through our branch network, website and social media channels.
“Being aware and keeping vigilant is half the battle in safeguarding members and employees against potential fraud, which is why we want to provide as much support as possible for everyone to know what to look out for and what to do.”
This summer we partnered with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Against Scams Partnership (CAPASP) to work with them and provide access to a range of educational material across a broad spectrum of possible activities that could potentially affect our members and the general public.
International Fraud Awareness Week launches on 13th November. During the week we'll be sharing videos on topics including the safe use of wi-fi and how to safely shop online, as well as highlighting the dangers of computer malware, impersonation fraud and money mules.
