Fend off financial crime
14 November 2022 • Community
International Fraud Awareness Week launched yesterday around the world, and we are doing our bit to help protect ourselves and our members from unscrupulous fraudsters who want to part us from our hard-earned funds.
Being aware sets everyone on the right track to do the double-take that might just prevent being duped.
There are always those who want to make an easy buck, but economically challenging times, such as we’re experiencing at the moment, make financial crime even more attractive and prevalent than ever, so being vigilant is super important.
The Little Book of Big Scams produced by the Metropolitan Police in partnership with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Against Scams Partnership (CAPASP) has been designed to help you identify the ever-evolving ways criminals use to scam the public.
Another useful source of information is the Take 5 – To Stop Fraud website, which again has a lot of valuable information.
Keep your eye out every day this week for more help and advice.
